A Food Service Worker, also known as a Food Service Assistant or Dietary Aide, is a professional responsible for supporting the daily operations of a food service establishment, such as a restaurant, cafeteria, hospital, schools, food courts, long-term care facility and even hotels.

As a Food Service Worker at Compass Group, New York, you will be responsible for preparing and serving food while maintaining cleanliness, food safety, and quality standards at the establishment. This role involves working closely with a team of experts in the hospitality industry to ensure smooth service, customer satisfaction, customer loyalty and referrals while you maintain a profitable business with minimal risk.

Schedule

The working hours and days are flexible and listed below:Friday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM: Saturday & Sunday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM: Wednesday & Thursday: 11:30 AM – 8:30 PM: Monday & Tuesday: Days off with $18.00–$20.00 per hour pay and about $43,200 salary annually.

Eligibility Criteria and Required Skills

Prior volume food service experience is preferred with Barista experience as a plus. Additionally, ability to follow food safety standards, work efficiently, and provide excellent customer service.

Job Responsibilities

The Food Service Worker shall concern him or herself with preparing and serving food using approved recipes; performing food prep tasks like peeling, washing, and cutting ingredients; ensuring proper storage of food following rotation, labeling, and safety protocols; cleaning work areas, utensils, and equipment; following company standards for portion control, inventory, and cash handling.
